Where: In the playground at Chevy Chase United Methodist Church, 7001 Connecticut Ave, Chevy Chase, MD 20815 (Corner of Shepherd and Delaware Streets, just east of Connecticut Ave)

When: Drop in any time, Sunday, Sept 8, 2pm - 4:00pm.

Who: All kids and their families are welcome!

What: Kids can participate in mini versions of our activities (e.g. camping, Raingutter Regatta, STEM challenges). Adults can talk to our leaders to learn more about our Pack. Come any time and stay as long as you like. All ages welcome. This is a joint event of the 255 Scouting Family, which has opportunities for kids ages 5 - 21. Our siblings in the 255 Family, Troop 255 boys and Troop 255 girls welcome kids ages 11-17, and Ship 255 welcomes boys and girls ages 14-21. You can learn more about the opportunities for older kids on their sites.

All our groups welcome youth of all genders, faiths, and backgrounds. Scouting is an extracurricular that combines fun activities, particularly in the outdoors (camping, hiking, orienteering), with life skills (cooking, first aid), and leadership while teaching the values of citizenship and community. Come learn about our activities, including camping, backpacking, rafting, caving, archery, climbing, and more!

Because the 255 family is committed to serving communities in need, this event will double as a food drive for Manna Food Center. Please consider bringing a non-perishable food item. They particularly want canned proteins, rice, whole grain pastas, beans, and canned vegetables.
