Camping Trips
Camping is one of the main events of Cub scouting, and every year we go on at least two camping trips, one in the fall and one in the spring. This fall on October 25th-22nd, we will be camping at Tuckahoe State Forest, a beautiful Maryland State Park with scenic trails, waterways, and a Birds of Prey Center. Our spring camping trip will take place on April 25-27th, 2025.
Bonus Camping Trip for returning families on September 13-15, 2024 at Cedarville State Park.
competitive events
We hold two competitive events (we emphasize Do Your Best):
November TBD : The Raingutter Regatta where scouts build sail boats from kits and blow them down a 10 foot raingutter filled with water.
March 10, 2024: The Pinewood Derby where scouts make their own cars to race down the track . We will also have a clinic where we help you get started crafting your cars. For more information on the Pinewood Derby, visit the Pack 255 Pinewood Derby page.
A Scout is Trustworthy. A scout follows the rules of the events. A Scout is Loyal. A scout cheers on the other cubs in their den and pack.
