Uniforms & Supplies
Every Cub Scout gets a Pack 255 T-Shirt when they join!
Also included in your membership: Den Handbook, Raingutter Regatta Kit, Pinewood Derby Kit
Uniforms (Sometimes called Class A):
We usually have some hand-me-downs including hats and neckerchiefs. Ask us before you buy! Our scouts usually wear their uniforms to Pack meetings and special events.
Find gear and help with uniforms at the National Capital Scout Shop, 9190 Rockville Pike, Bethesda, MD 20814
Uniform shirts get a few standard patches: American flag (already on the one you buy at the store), Purple World Crest, National Capital Area Council Shoulder Patch, and Pack unit numbers. The Scout store has some uniforms with pre-sewn patches for the Council and the Purple World Crest. In addition, you'll need red "255" unit numbers for the blue shirts or green "255" numbers for the khaki shirts. For those who don't love to sew, BSA sells "Badge Magic" to stick patches (pretty darn permanently) to the uniform.
See below for the uniforms we use for each Den. See the BSA Guide for patch placement instructions.
